Sharon Pight is a talented artist and muralist, with a BA in art education. She completed her degree at Central Connecticut State University in 2006 and went on to teach in both the public and private sectors. She taught at Lighthouse Christian Academy in Waterbury for a year and half before going on to teach art in the Bridgeport Public School System for 6 years. Sharon’s teaching experience also includes offering art classes at Waterbury Christian Academy and teaching art classes for homeschool co-ops. Aside from teaching, Sharon has also been commissioned to create various murals and paintings. She has a great love for nature, and the hues and shades of the sea. Many of her paintings feature nautical and outdoor themes. Some of these are on display at Putnam Memorial State Park in Redding, CT. Currently Sharon is creating her own personal portrait as a wife, and mother to two beautiful little girls. These days, she spends her time homeschooling her children, gardening and working on her painting catalogue.
