Let's learn to write! The only materials needed are something to write with and something to write on. Your ideas are important! In this class, we will brainstorm writing ideas, use graphic organizers and other pre-writing strategies, and learn about narrative writing, informational writing, persuasive writing, story writing, poetry, and more. Students will learn about phonics, grammar, and the writing process. Each week, students will complete a different type of writing and have the option to share their work with the group. Some sample class topics include writing a paragraph, adding details, pre-writing organizers, brainstorming methods, and grammar rules/punctuation.

Some level of independence is needed to complete this course, but I will be there to guide and support students throughout the class.
