Learning to Read Hebrew
About the Course
$25 per course
Welcome aboard to an exciting new world. Whether you are an experienced student of Torah desiring to deepen your understanding by really learning Biblical Hebrew, or are just getting started, this course is for you. We will first cover both alphabets (the square script used only for printing in books) and the round script used when you need to write Hebrew by hand. If you already know both alphabets, you may skip this section, but you should still see how I introduce the vowel chart, because that will be referred to constantly when I teach the full course of Biblical Hebrew.
Following the alphabets, we will then learn the basic morphological structure of the Hebrew language. This will enable you to do two things:
1. Use the better tools and commentaries to understand the Hebrew Bible.
2. Decide if you want to continue and do a full course on Biblical Hebrew. The continuation course will teach you the full language, including grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, enabling you to pick up your Hebrew Bible and read it without too much difficulty.
