How to Read the Bible

This is an 8-session class (1 hr per week) that teaches tools for the study of the Jewish & Christian Scriptures. Over the course of our time together we will explore the history, culture, and languages of the biblical world and how such knowledge impacts how we read and interpret biblical texts. We'll also also explore the most basic elements of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, so that the student will be able to more profitably use Bible software tools and printed resources. The live sessions meet on Tuesdays, 8:00-9:00pm EDT, May 16-July 3. Recordings are posted to the online classroom within 24 hrs. Course registration fee: $200 + 4% transaction fee.
